A Helghan Holiday (Killzone 3 Review)
I’ve always been a fan of the Killzone games, the first one essentially got me into the FPS genre and I’ve bought and finished every game since (including Liberation on the PSP) and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The franchise itself has always had a rocky relationship with gamers and critics alike, getting ripped apart for any flaws or trying anything new in the genre, but then again these gamers and so-called journalists all seem to swear by Call of Duty and Halo being Gods gift to man. By no means are any of the games perfect but I feel they’ve always had it tough in comparison. The first game was condemned by all but a marginal few, one being me, who thought that it wasn’t brilliant but it was a decent shooter with an interesting story-line. The second proved a lot better: gorgeous graphics, A new planet to blast your way through and added enough weight to the player to think they’re screen is lugging around a m60. Even with these improvements so many people whinged about the weight and complained about the lack of colour in the game.. But guys this is Helghan, it aint supposed to be pretty and neither is war.
