A Beginners Guide to cornering in GT5 – Embrace the G Force

You want to get faster lap times so you drive faster everywhere you can get away with it, in the straights, into corners, out of corners, during corners. Driving right up to the limit that is you and your grip on the track evaporating and you heading straight for the crash barrier.

Everyone can drive fast when on a straight piece of track, the fastest person in this section is usually in the fastest car. So if you’re out gunned you’ll have to beat them in the corners with more precise, cleaner driving. The techniques for cornering at broken into three different sections, before, at and after, each of which I’ll outline in this guide. It takes a lot of effort to even master a single corner and each corner is different depending on the car you’re using, and the track conditions but by using the relatively simple techniques I mention in this guide you ‘ll quickly pick up those extra seconds each lap.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) Review

Need for Speed debuted back 1994 and boy has it come along way since, Now the best-selling Racing game franchise of all time and only being second to Fifa in its ability to tent a Chavs trousers in less than the time it takes to mention the title…… The series is adored by many of the general gaming public, but more so than anyone by the idiotic little ‘Boy Racers’ group.Whilst the Franchise has spawned some good games there’s been a lot of mediocre ones, I started playing the games when Underground came out and stopped when Shift was announced because I felt the game was founded on the ‘Illegal Street Racing Culture‘ and taking that on track seemed like the wrong direction for the game so I decided not to follow through with it.

Death and Glory – The delay of Gran Turismo 5


gt5 pitstopWill GT5 ever be released? That is the question many gamers are  desperately seeking an answer to,  after yet another delay by Polyphony. The third of such delays.

For a game with over 5 years development time, by a developer in great financial standing, it goes against the usual running order.  What could be causing these delays? The answer to that question is Kazunori Yamauchi.  More specifically, Kazunori and his quest for perfection for Gran Turismo 5.  He is a perfectionist, and quite a good one too.  This annoyance can be a good thing though, as it means GT5 should be a flawless and perfect  driving simulator; quite a mix. This does have a downside, sadly: The countless delays.
